CAMI + MST Kit + New CHAIRS = LAB Effectiveness

A company - Sikho Booksellers and Services from Philippi donated 60x chairs to Umnqophiso PS. The school is ordering its books and learning material through this company. The HOD (IMP & Senior Phase) Mr Sandile Tshibo is enjoying with the learners the new chairs. What a sound relationship between a school and private company.

Now that the LAB is fitted with new chairs, the learners are back inside the LAB – seated and working with CAMI Perceptual. On the photos are Grade 7 learners working in the CAMI Maths and Perceptual software with the HOD – Mr Thembile Galada and myself.

Mr Thembile Galada is very enthusiastic since 2008 about the Equivalency Cubes as in the MST Kit “black box” and how to use it. I explained to him some fraction strategies to be implemented as part of the intervention process.

Albie.

Congratulations Umnqophiso staff and learners. Eventually the laboratory can be used optimally for curriculum delivery. There should not be anymore obstacles in your way to have all learners and educators, computer literate. Wish you all the best in your endless exciting learning endeavors.I'll be visiting you soon.

This is a most generous gesture. It is only with the assistance of partners of this nature that we can make a difference to the lives of our learners.

The goodwill that exists towards Khanya from the private sector never ceases to amaze me! We must be doing something right!

Congratulations to the East Team for the excellent work you are doing in helping the children in your region to cross the digital divide.

Congratulations for the work you're doing! It was very humbling for me to share this story with my students here in Kansas, USA. While we ask for faster computers or the latest gadget, your joy at getting chairs helped to put into perspective, if even for a moment, our own good fortune.

The lab looks great and the faces of the staff and students tell the entire picture! Congratulations again!

Yay!! I'm so glad you received such a gift. As @LewmanTPLC said, it is humbling for me here in Illinois, USA to read about your joy over receiving chairs. They are such a necessary school item that I take for granted. Congratulations.

I've read through some of your blog and you are doing some great things for students. Keep up the great work!

I am visiting Swaziland in June this year, and I am very excited to learn about African culture and see what is being done in schools.
