During the EMDC East EIAWB Conference @ Faure Youth Centre, a practical classroom situation was created with Nomsa Mopongwana PS Learners. The learners were actively involved in the Social Science lesson. The topic was the flooding of rivers and its impact on humans.
The lesson included text, notes, link to www/internet, sound (music) graphics, Windows Media Player, DVD clips, and other files were hyperlinked as on the workstation e.g. Encarta. The lesson demonstrated the effective use of the Notebook 10 Software as well as other software products on the workstation. Other Learning Areas were included into the lesson -e.g. Arts & Culture, Language, Maths and Science.
The lesson was demonstrated by Albie Smith and Notombeko Tom. Albie dealt with the Notebook 10 software in general focusing on the different toolbars and the effective use of it.
